Step 1: This short dog-friendly and kid-friendly circular walk starts at the free Holly Hill Woodland car park in Snodland, Gravesend DA13 0UB.
Step 2: In wet or wintry weather it may be muddy. In spring and summer, enjoy the dappled light from the trees, bluebells and general serenity. It’s a real hidden gem. Please note that are no amenities onsite. Bring snacks!
Step 3: Facing the woodland, take the second entrance on the right hand side of the car park to follow this peaceful woodland walk.
Step 4: Continue ahead along the dirt path. You’ll pass an tall old tree stump. Look to your left for a very interesting tree.
Step 5: You might spot the tree through a path that leads into the woodland. The tree has nearly all of its roots exposed. Can you spot it?
Step 6: It’s actually two trees together. Aren’t the roots amazing? It’s not often they are exposed like this. We were in awe.
