  Step 1: This walk starts at the Flotterstone Car Park EH26 0PP. There is an information point here with toilets and a cafe.

• 

  Step 2: Head onto the path to the left of the cafe under the trees.

• 

  Step 3: Continue straight on the earth path, passing through a wall and continuing ahead.

• 

  Step 4: Look out for a plaque for Charles Thomson Rees Wilson, inventor of the cloud chamber, towards the end of the path.

• 

  Step 5: Follow the narrow path to the left and onto a tarmac track.

• 

  Step 6: By a junction, continue straight ahead.
