Step 1: This walk starts from Godley station with frequent services on the Manchester-Glossop line. Unfortunately the station is not step-free.
Step 2: Please note that parts of this walk may be damp, muddy and slippery at any time of year and especially after periods of wet weather. Please bear this in mind when planning your trip.
Step 3: Use the stairs to exit the station from either platform to reach Mottram Road, where the walk begins.
Step 4: Upon exiting, you’ll have a view of the viaduct above Mottram Road. Walk along the road towards the viaduct.
Step 5: Before the viaduct, cross Mottram Road when it's safe to do so and walk a short way down Station Road, which is opposite you.
Step 6: Take the first right, Brookfold Lane.
