Step 1: This walk was created in partnership with Cherwell District Council. Enjoy over 30 walks across North Oxfordshire and experience the sights and sounds of nature as you go.
Step 2: Fringford is 4 miles north of Bicester off the A4421 Buckingham Road. The nearest station is Bicester North (with links to Oxford, London, Banbury & Birmingham). Bus services to Fringford are irregular so you may need a taxi.
Step 3: This walk starts from the Butchers Arms car park. The post code is OX27 8EB.
Step 4: Notice Matilda’s coffee shop adjoining the pub.
Step 5: The route is along roads except for a quarter of a mile stretch which can be wet and muddy, especially in winter. Take great care when crossing or walking along the roads.
Step 6: Walk past the cricket ground that was presented to the village by Henry Chinnery in 1901.
