• Step 1: This 7.7 mile walk starts at Bexley Station and ends at Petts Wood Station. The London Loop waymarking is generally good and is particularly helpful in the woods.

• 

  Step 2: Turn right out of Bexley station and walk along the station approach. Turn right into the High Street.

• 

  Step 3: Almost immediately turn right into Tan Yard Lane as directed by the signs on the lamp post.

• 

  Step 4: Follow the lane under the railway bridge.

• 

  Step 5: Continue on a path beside the railway embankment on the right.

• 

  Step 6: Walk ahead between the cricket clubhouse on the left and cottages on the right.
