Step 1: This 6 mile walk covers an exceptionally rural section of the Loop. Critical waymarks are missing so this Loop Walk is described in particular detail. There are a few stiles and in wet weather some paths could be muddy.
Step 2: Before leaving the station, admire this description of your walk on the station wall.
Step 3: Turn right out of Chigwell Station. Walk along the High Road past the shops. Cross Chigwell Brook and Courtland Drive.
Step 4: Pass a mini roundabout to join the main Loop route. Carry on up the hill passing the church and Ye Olde Kings Head (now restaurant).
Step 5: Just past the ex-pub, opposite the school, where there is a light-controlled crossing, turn right on a footpath. Continue through a gate.
Step 6: Cross a meadow to a kissing gate. Turn right for a very short distance along the road. Go through a gap by the road sign. Turn right.
