Step 1: This is a 4.5 mile walk from Enfield Lock Station to Chingford. There are some stiles to cross and two hills to climb. The waymarks cannot be relied on. Signs are missing at key junctions. There is not too much road walking.
Step 2: Leave Enfield Lock station. Turn right and then right again into Bradley Road.
Step 3: Walk to the end of the road and then turn left alongside the concrete channel of Turkey Brook.
Step 4: Cross Newbury Avenue and carry on beside the brook.
Step 5: Fork right through the barrier and over the long bridge that takes the Loop over Mollison Avenue.
Step 6: After the bridge carry on in the same direction to reach Enfield lock.
