• 

  Step 1: The walk starts from Littleborough Station, served by regular trains from Manchester and Rochdale.

• Step 2: 🚨 To avoid a long-term path closure, head north from the station to Littleborough. Turn left on Church Street (A58). Take the first right (Hare Hill Road). After the pub, go right along Calderbrook Road. Walk straight ahead from step 39.🚨

• Step 3: Please note that parts of this walk may be damp, muddy and slippery at any time of year and especially after periods of wet weather. Please bear this in mind when planning your trip. Also note the diversion (as of 2024) described in step 4.

• 

  Step 4: Exit the Yorkshire-bound platform via the stairs or ramp, heading left towards the bus turning cycle.

• Step 5: Otherwise (once the main route is reopened), turn left along the pavement with the bus turning circle to your right.

• 

  Step 6: Turn left to go through a short tunnel under the train lines.
