  Step 1: Your walk begins here at Hythe (Colchester).

• Step 2: Hythe Station is well served by trains from Walton-on-the-Naze and Colchester. If you’re arriving from London, Clacton or Ipswich (or further afield) you can swap at Colchester for a train to Hythe Station.

• 

  Step 3: There is a bus stop just outside the station too I’d you’d prefer you travel by bus.

• Step 4: Turn left into Hawkins Road

• Step 5: Continue following Hawkins Road until you reach a roundabout.

• 

  Step 6: Take the third exit at the roundabout, so you end up on Colne Causeway
