  • Step 1: This route forms part of the Colchester Orbital, a 14-15 mile walk around Colchester town, linking some of its most important & beautiful green spaces.

  • Step 4: Salary Brook is 48 acres of mixed habitats. Much of this site is now designated as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation. The area is rich in wildlife such as the nightingale, Reed warbler, lizard, water vole & bats! 🦇🦎

  • The reserve is always open. There is no designated parking, but buses operate frequently in the surrounding area.
