1. 

   Step 1: Welcome to the Benfleet to Leigh-on-Sea section of the Thames Estuary Path.

2. Step 2: The Thames Estuary Path is a 30 mile route from Tilbury to Southend, taking you past Thameside Forts, ancient Churches, through Thames Marshes and along the sea wall overlooking internationally important marshes and mudflats.

3. Step 3: All Thames Estuary Path walks are shadowed by the C2C railway line, making it extremely accessible by train. Trains run between Shoeburyness and London Fenchurch Street, via Southend, Basildon and more local stations.

4. 

   Step 4: We’ll spend the first half of our walk along Benfleet Creek salt marshes.

5. Step 5: The Thames Estuary is one of the most important sites for water birds globally.

6. 

   Step 6: Follow the sign to Two Tree Island. The acorn symbolises the England Coast Path. It will stretch 4,500km around the country when complete!
