Step 1: Welcome to this Bermondsey Black History Tour. We reflect on black history in and around the Bermondsey area and how it connects to the London we see today.
Step 2: This circular walk starts at London Bridge station. Head to the exit on Duke Street Hill which leads to Tooley Street.
Step 3: Cross over Duke Street Hill towards the start of Tooley Street. You should see the white Art Deco St Olaf House ahead.
Step 4: St Olaf House was built between 1928 and 1932 for the Hay's Wharf Company. The Hay's Wharf Company was founded in 1867 and operated warehouses and wharves on the River Thames.
Step 5: To the left of St Olaf House, look for this opening that leads to step-free access to the Thames Path.
Step 6: Continue ahead through the passageway and turn right at the end.
