  • Step 1: Welcome to the clockwise Ludwell Valley segment of the Green Circle. We’ll explore the Ludwell Valley Park, the gentle Northbrook, the Riverside Valley Park, and the Exeter Ship Canal and the River Exe. It’s spectacular!

  • Step 2: The walk begins at the intersection of Vaughan Road and Whipton Lane (near postcode EX1 3JY). There’s a set of bus stops nearby for easy access from city centre.

  • Step 3: The Exeter Green Circle is a series of walking routes that connects Exeter's natural green spaces together. In total, the full circle is 19 kilometres, or 12 miles.

  • Start by heading down the grassy verge along Vaughan Road, with the road to your left.
