  • Welcome to the Thames Path! This walk follows the South Bank of the iconic Thames Path National Trail from Mortlake to Putney.

  • Step 2: The Thames Bank bus stop is on this side of Chiswick Bridge, served by the 190 and 533 towards West Brompton and Hammersmith or Richmond. Alternatively, Mortlake Train station is a short walk away.

  • With Chiswick Bridge just behind you, start walking along the Thames Path with the river on your left.

  • Look back to see the ornate arches of Chiswick Bridge, built from Portland Stone and opened in 1933 on the site of a former ferry crossing.
