• Step 1: Welcome to this jaunt along The Talbot Trail. Discover 14 statues, as well as fascinating history of the town, as you take a walk around Sudbury.

• Step 2: This is a step-free walk around Sudbury, and where possible we will help describe pavement conditions, locations of drop curbs and crossings, plus narrow pathways which some users may have difficulty navigating.

• Step 3: The closest station to the start of this walk is Sudbury, which is just 1 hour 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street, changing at Marks Tey. It’s accessible from all stations on the London to Norwich east coast routes.

• Step 4: There are regular buses to and from Colchester, Bury St. Edmunds, Clare, Ipswich and Halstead that run from Sudbury. Three hours free parking is also available at Kingfisher Leisure Centre.

• Step 5: If you’re starting this walk from the station, follow Station Road until you reach Friars Street. Then turn right to continue along Market Hill until you reach the Sudbury Heritage Centre.

  Step 6: The starting point for this trail is the Sudbury Heritage Centre. Face the building and look to the left. You’ve found your first statue.
