  Step 1: Welcome to this historic walk around Sudbury. We’re starting the walk from Sudbury station.

• Step 2: Sudbury is just 1 hour 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street, changing at Marks Tey. It’s accessible from all stations on the London to Norwich east coast routes.

• Step 3: There are regular buses to and from Colchester, Bury St. Edmunds, Clare, Ipswich and Halstead that run from Sudbury. Free parking is also available at Kingfisher Leisure Centre on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

• 

  Step 4: Follow Station Road. The leisure centre will be on your left.

• Step 5: You will need to cross Great Eastern Road to continue heading straight along Station Road.

• 

  Step 6: This building ahead was the old Victorian Great Eastern Hotel. You’ll find the initials of the 1874 manager still present on the building.
