Step 1: Take the lane from Mitchley Hill. It’s uphill a bit towards Riddlesdown. Woodland on your left.
Step 2: Look out for the path on the left that heads into Mitchley Woods.
Step 3: Keep left and ignore the path to the right. You’re going through Oaks and Hazel with a sprinkling of Holly!
Step 4: A fallen tree has blocked the path for a couple of years, so skirt round to the left.
Step 5: You rejoin the path beyond the fallen tree!
Step 6: Another fallen tree but you can step over it if you are reasonably careful and fit.
