• Step 1: The walk is step free but has some inclines and declines both up and down to the upper and lower promenades. Wheelchair users may need electric assist. For a completely flat alternative, simply retrace your steps from step 31.

• Step 2: Please note that this walk is best in milder weather as it can get very wet and windy in winter.

• Step 3: The Kensington Road bus stop is very close by and served by the 99 Coastal Clipper, X2 Coastlink and X21 Coastlink.

• 

  Step 4: This walk starts at Kensington Gardens (NR33 0HY) on the coastline side. Head into the gardens.

• 

  Step 5: We recommend doing a short loop of the gardens. There’s a cafe onsite and small boating lake.

• 

  Step 6: Keep to the flat paths for the step free options. Take it slow. Tune into the sights and sounds of nature.
