• Step 1: Carlton Marshes (NR33 8HU) is open dawn until dusk, seven days a week. It’s free to enter but donations are welcome. The visitor centre is generally open 10am - 4pm. There is a car park onsite and the nearest train station is…

• Step 2: …Oulton Broad South. This route is our step free version and there are also mobility scooters available to hire. Swipe up to read more about local walking groups here and in other locations.

  Step 3: Follow the path to the main visitor centre area where you’ll find a car park, playground, toilets, cafe and shop. Dogs are allowed on leads.

• 

  Step 4: Did you know that there are 1,000 acres of wilderness in the Broads National Park?

• Step 5: It’s also home to some of the largest populations of wading birds in the East of England. Cut through the visitor centre cafe. Enjoy a refreshment stop now or we’ll be back here after a short loop.

  Step 6: With the cafe now on your left hand side, follow the veranda past the cafe and down the ramp up ahead.
