• Step 1: This is one of a series of mud-free walks that are of medium length and largely off - road. They are suitable for winter days when the weather has been wet. The walks have good public transport links.

• 

  Step 2: The paths are tarmac or stony however some parts of the gravel paths are old and have a covering of earth that can be slippery after rain.

• 

  Step 3: Turn left out of Gospel Oak station walking under the two railway bridges.

• 

  Step 4: Turn left through a gate just after the second bridge. Walk ahead to the right of the car park and Lido.

• 

  Step 5: Pass a barrier and keep ahead to the right of the Lido.

• 

  Step 6: Walk towards the higher ground with a hedge to the right and an open space to the left.
