Step 1: St Anne’s Rd had just been renamed Hackford Rd when Vincent Van Gogh arrived in August 1873 to lodge at No. 87.

Step 4: ...it is a good three-quarters of an hour walk each time.”

Step 5: We start by walking north up Hackford Rd, cross Caldwell St and take the next right into Mowll Dt that was called Chapel Rd in 1873.

Step 6: Van Gogh would have passed a church school and chapel where now you see this grade II listed Christ church, built between 1899-1902.
