Step 1: Welcome to the White Gates entrance to Greenhall and Milheugh Local Nature Reserve, Hunthill Road, Blantyre.
Step 2: The LNR is owned and managed by South Lanarkshire Council, with help from the Friends of the Calder local community group.
Step 3: On the right is our wildflower meadow, with the community orchard beyond. Feel free to look round and have a seat, everyone is welcome!
Step 4: Follow the path ahead. This is the driveway that led to the old Milheugh Estate. Woodpeckers and bats live here.
Step 5: Follow the path down until the canopy of beech trees begins to open up.
Step 6: Take the path on the left, marked by the old metal fence post.
