  Step 1: Start at David Livingston Birthplace & exit through gate at bottom of car park - turn left towards river

• 

  Step 2: Cross bridge

• 

  Step 3: As you exit bridge turn immediate right onto walkway

• 

  Step 4: Continue along walkway with river on your left

• 

  Step 5: At the fork go right up the hill

• 

  Step 6: Bothwell Castle comes into view
