• 

  Step 1: Start your walk at the David Livingstone Birthplace. Visit the museum and learn about past industry here, or about his role in Africa.

• 

  Step 2: Head down to the left at the side of the cafe, past the wooden pavilion and towards the outdoor classroom area. Sit and relax for a bit!

• 

  Step 3: We are now heading into the woods! They form part of a larger Local Nature Reserve, of which you can find more info on SL Council website.

• 

  Step 4: Head along the Riverside path, and look out for heron, ducks, or even an otter! Keep the river on your right hand side.

• 

  Step 5: Keep going along the path, in the summer you might spot butterflies floating around in the grassland up to your left.

• 

  Step 6: We now want to head up the hill to the left. This can be slippy if it's wet, an alternative is to walk through the grassland to the top.
