• Step 1: Welcome to the Green Chain! This walk follows the path from Mottingham to Ravensbourne. This section of the Green Chain starts on Mottingham Avenue, just beyond Eltham College. From Mottingham station, this is a 10 minute walk.

• 

  Step 2: The major signpost is the start of Section 9A. Follow the sign to Elmstead Woods along Mottingham Lane until you come to the roundabout.

• 

  Step 3: At the roundabout, cross Grove Park Road and turn right to follow it.

• 

  Step 4: Pass Eltham High School on your right.

• 

  Step 5: As the road bends right, enter Mottingham Sports Ground on your left.

• 

  Step 6: Follow the drive until you reach the pavilion. Then step off of the drive to pass to the left of the pavilion continuing straight ahead.
