Step 1: Welcome to Eltham Palace, a wondrously weird and fantastically fascinating English Heritage site in Eltham. It’s about a 10 minute walk from Eltham Train Station via the Eltham High Street.
Step 2: The palace and grounds are open daily 10-5. Visiting is free for English Heritage members. Otherwise, tickets are £17.60 for adults and £10.60 for children.
Step 3: Enter the grounds off of King John’s Walk and head towards the house.
Step 4: Eltham Palace is part medieval palace, part Tudor residence, and part 1930’s Art Deco mansion. It’s well worth a visit inside…
Step 5: … where you’ll find gems like the magnificent medieval Great Hall.
Step 6: This walk is a lovely route round the award-winning gardens. Facing the main entrance to the house, follow along the building to your right.
