  Step 1: Find the hidden entrance on Moorside Road, opposite Undershaw Road and head on in.

• 

  Step 2: This woodland walk is a narrow strip of woodland which used to be a part of the Great North Wood. It zigzags between houses of Downham.

• 

  Step 3: This woodland is pretty ancient and is just over 1.5km long. This is also a part of the Green Chain Route and the Capital Ring.

• 

  Step 4: Look out for these wooden sign posts as you walk along. There are also plenty of benches for rest stops. There are bluebells in spring yay!

• 

  Step 5: Cross Downderry Road safely and head back into the woodland and keep to the path.

• 

  Step 6: This woodland strip is much narrower and the flora becomes less diverse here.
