Step 1: Look out for the exit off the A20 to enter Samphire Hoe. It is accessible via a single-track tunnel controlled by traffic lights. There may be a small wait at the lights. It’s paid parking here and some facilities onsite.
Step 2: You are surrounded by the majestic white cliffs of Dover and there are sheep grazing in the nearby fields.
Step 3: The park was created by using 4.9 million cubic metres of chalk marl from the Channel Tunnel excavations. It is open between 7am and dusk; admittance is free. Head to the blue building that looks like a lighthouse.
