Step 1: This Titanic tour starts at the Titanic Musician’s Memorial. It’ll take you around various sites of importance across the city.
Step 2: This is a replica of the original memorial near this site, which was sadly destroyed during WW2. The names of all the musicians on the ship are engraved on the memorial.
Step 3: It’s said that as the Titanic began to sink, Wallace Hartley & his band began to play. They are reported to have played until the very end.
Step 4: Cross over the road to the Titanic Officers’ Memorial. Take care crossing at the pedestrian crossings.
Step 5: In 1914 when this memorial was unveiled 100,000 Southampton residents attended. It honours the engineers who died on the Titanic.
Step 6: Go straight ahead and then cross over the road down Commercial Road.
