Step 1: The walk starts here at Southampton Central Station. As you exit please turn right & follow Southbrook Road.
Step 2: Southampton Central is well served by trains, including those to & from Bristol, London, Portsmouth, Cardiff, Weymouth, Southsea & more. Local buses depart from the nearby central bus station.
Step 3: This nature trail will take you through Southampton’s Central Parks where you’ll discover a variety of flora & fauna & local wildlife.
Step 4: Southampton Central Parks have Grade II* listed status on the Historic England Register of Parks & Gardens of special historic interest. This includes Watts Park, as well as the other parks you’ll visit on this nature trail.
Step 5: Follow the road as it turns into Blechynden Terrace. On your right will be Blechynden Terrace Park. Take the sloping path down to explore.
Step 6: Before the railway this area was a suburban terrace with a marine parade & ornamental gardens.
