  • This wonderful walk starts off Petersham Road and includes food and plant shopping at Petersham Nurseries (TW10 7AQ).

  • Step 3: Petersham Nurseries is a garden centre and foodie haven open from 10am until around 5pm, Tuesdays to Sunday as well as Bank Holidays. They encourage visits on foot or by bike but have a small car park for guests.

  • Step 4: Zipcar have a one-way service where you can pick up and drop off cars in an area called the Zipzone. Richmond is in this zone (most of London is!) so it’s an easy way to carry your plant home. Walk first, shop later? You decide.

  • The walk starts at this wooden stile opposite the entrance to the garden centre. Climb over the stile and enter Petersham Meadows.
