• Step 1: Editors note: One winter Sunday afternoon, the writer & musician, Alan Franks, took us around his favourite place to walk, Richmond Park. Enjoy this circular route whatever the season, it’s a gem.

  Step 2: We managed to get a space at the car park just here and headed straight to the loo for a first pit stop.

• 

  Step 3: We kept to the path and walked passed, Pembroke Lodge where there’s a rather lovely Tea Room if you’re famished.
