Step 2: This is a step-free walk around Sudbury, and where possible we will help describe pavement conditions, locations of drop curbs and crossings, plus narrow pathways which some users may have difficulty navigating.
Step 3: The closest station to the start of this walk is Sudbury, which is just 1 hour 20 minutes from London Liverpool Street, changing at Marks Tey. It’s accessible from all stations on the London to Norwich east coast routes.
Step 4: There are regular buses to and from Colchester, Bury St. Edmunds, Clare, Ipswich and Halstead that run from Sudbury. Three hours free parking is also available at Kingfisher Leisure Centre.
Step 5: If you’re starting this walk from the station, follow Station Road until you reach Friars Street. Then turn right to continue along Market Hill until you reach the Sudbury Heritage Centre.
Step 6: The starting point for this trail is the Sudbury Heritage Centre. Face the building and look to the left. You’ve found your first statue.
