  Step 1: Scadbury Nature Reserve is another great green hidden gem. Off the A20, we parked on Old Perry St. Dogs on a lead only. It’s a working farm.

• 

  Step 2: Follow the path up. Don’t be surprised if you meet a car en route. No parking on the verge here. You’ll need wellies if it’s been raining.

• 

  Step 3: We took this kissing gate on the left. This loop is about 1.5hrs for a slow ramble with kids on foot. It’s not really pram-friendly.

• 

  Step 4: Let the muddy boots begin!

• 

  Step 5: There’s a path to follow but after a few days of rain it’s a mud bath. The little one stacked it and we tried to stay on the edges here.

• 

  Step 6: It’s very calming even with the hum of the A20 in the distance. As you take the path around, it disappears.
