To Penally Beach & Back
Tenby, Pembrokeshire
- 25 minutes / 1.3km
- 8
A linear dog friendly walk towards Penally Beach. Bring snacks and refreshments and maybe even a bucket and space. Check tide times.

Step 1: This walk starts at Penally station (Pembroke Harbour / Swansea line) where you can also find a fee-paying car park and toilets.
Step 2: The route requires sturdy foot wear as the footpaths can be slippery in very dry (sandy) or wet and wintry weather (muddy). It may be wise to check tide tables and dogs are allowed on the beach year round.
Step 3: Exit the station, walk through the car park and look for the sign to the beach on your right.

In 2018 the storm known as 'the beast from the East' came in making this walk even more pretty. Most people do this in summer though!

Station to sea and back again. Lots of steep uphill and downhill walking. Well worth it for the views!
