Step 2: Walk up Redriff Road beside the shopping centre. You’re looking out for the red lifting bridge. At the bridge, walk down the stairs.

Step 3: Built in 1949 as a temporary measure to span nearby Deptford Creek. It was moved here 10yrs later to replace a much older swing bridge.

Step 4: Down we go. There’s also an underpass back towards the shopping centre if you’re looking for an accessible route.

Step 5: Greenland Dock is part of Surrey Docks. Made in the 17th Century, it was originally known as Howland Great Wet Dock.

Step 6: You can catch a great view of the city in this area. If you just head to the station and shopping centre, you wouldn’t know this was here.
