  Step 1: Come out of the car park and turn immediately right to find this lane up towards Monkton Combe School. Follow the track under the arch

• Step 2: Continue on the track taking care of vehicles coming in and out of the school. There is a dog poo bin on this stretch. The only one on the walk.

• 

  Step 3: On your left a footpath will take you off the road allowing you to walk on a traffic free route parallel to the road

• 

  Step 4: Cross the road and follow the footpath up these steps and through the school. On the map it looks like a straight line but you will meander.

• Step 5: Keep following the path up hill, staying on the Public Right of Way

• 

  Step 6: Once you reach the top of the slope and the road, turn left and walk into Monkton Combe village.
