  Step 1: We started this walk by the No.10 Tea Garden next to the canal - you could easily start at Avoncliff Station on the GWR network.

• 

  Step 2: Turn left along the Kennet & Avon canal towards the three arched, Grade II listed aqueduct.

• 

  Step 3: It is over 100m long, 18m wide and carries the Kennet & Avon Canal over the River Avon. It was opened in 1805 and built from Bath stone.

• 

  Step 4: Look left for views down to the Avon and the railway lines. There are a few benches along here.

• 

  Step 5: Follow the towpath to the left.

• 

  Step 6: This is a lovely, quiet section of the canal. The 57-mile canal section was constructed between 1794 and 1810 and connects Bath to Newbury.
