  • Step 3: The historic city of Lincoln dates back over 2000 years to the first century BC. The settlement around Brayford Pool was originally called Lindon or “Lindo” which means The Pool in the Celtic language.

  • Step 4: Since then the city had been settled by Romans, Vikings, Saxons, Normans and more. In more recent history the city has been known for engineering. It was here that the first ever tanks were designed and built in 1916.

  • After exiting the station go straight across St. Mary’s St, crossing safely at the lights, then turn left.
