Step 1: This is one of a series of mud-free walks that are of medium length and largely off-road. They are suitable for winter days when the weather has been wet. The walks have good public transport links.
Step 2: Start in Battle Bridge Place by the canal exit from King’s Cross tube station - opposite the entrance to St Pancras. Walk uphill.
Step 3: Pass to the right of the German Gymnasium but just left of the building with rows of black pillars.
Step 4: Walk up to the right of the water features along Pancras Square.
Step 5: At the top, use the crossing over Goods Way and then walk over the bridge ahead.
Step 6: Turn left immediately after the bridge then keep left up along Bagley Walk curving round with the buildings to the left.
