  Step 1: Start your walk from Tesco Litherland.

• Step 2: Just to the right of the car park is a bus stop for the 52 bus that goes into central Liverpool and to Netherton.

• 

  Step 3: Head right on the footpath at the side of Tesco Litherland (cafe end) to get to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

• 

  Step 4: Continue on to the next footpath ahead of you.

  Step 6: You will arrive at the canal and the swing bridge. You will cross the swing bridge later on in the route.
