  Step 1: Walk through the main entrance beside the car park at Glen Esk

• 

  Step 2: You will shortly see a woodland path going off to the left but don't take this one. Continue along the main, surfaced path.

• 

  Step 3: Dotted around the path are granite slabs engraved with Scots names for birds. Can you match them up with any birds you see?

• 

  Step 4: Continue along the path enjoying the artworks, wildflower meadow, pond and woodland

• 

  Step 5: At the path junction, go straight ahead towards the conifer woodland. Or, to the right explore the giant leaf sculpture or have a seat.

• 

  Step 6: At the outdoor classroom area the path curves to the right through the woods
