  • Exit the station and cross Whitechapel Road at the pedestrian crossing towards Tower Hamlets Town Hall and turn left on the other side.

  • Step 3: The Tower Hamlets Council are renovating the Royal London Hospital site. The town hall building was once a busy facility where generations of East Londoners were born and cared for. Look out for a turning on the right.

  • Notice a pub called the ‘London Hospital’. A pub has been here since 1753. Enjoyed by construction workers of the time. Turn right here.

  • Continue down East Mount Street towards A&E and then turn left at the end. The London Infirmary was established in the autumn of 1740.
