Step 1: Welcome to the Exeter Green Circle! This is the clockwise segment starting at the shop opposite Barley Lane on Dunsford Rd (EX2 9PN).
Step 2: The Exeter Green Circle is a series of walking routes that connects Exeter’s natural green spaces together. In total, the full circle is 19 kilometres, or 12 miles.
Step 3: Get ready to explore green countryside valley parks and the pavements of quiet leafy suburbs. We’ll discover views and locations that are all part of Exeter but which often seem miles from a city.
Step 4: This segment of the Green Circle follows the green areas and viewpoints in Redhills and the western fringes of Exeter.
Step 5: Let’s head off! First, around the side of the building, can you find Little John's Cross, a granite boundary stone from the 15th century?
Step 6: When you’re ready, walk up Barley Ln away from Dunsford Rd. Did you know that Dunsford Rd used to be the main route to Cornwall until 1970?
