Step 1: This triangular route forms part of the Colchester Orbital, a 14-15 mile walk around town, linking some of its most important & beautiful green spaces.
Step 2: This section offers easier access for mobility-restricted walkers & chair users (paths are hard-surfaced & level).
Step 3: The route begins here at Park Road. Buses run along nearby Lexden Road & there is on-road parking at Park Road with a Blue Badge.
Step 4: This section of the path is tree-lined with playing fields to the left.
Step 5: The path here is hard-surfaced tarmac & level throughout. You then enter a section with hedgerow either side of the path.
Step 6: In summer the hedgerow can get overgrown so the views are intermittent.
