Step 1: Start at Grosvenor Square. The centre piece of the estate when the Grosvenor family started developing the area in the 1720s.
Step 2: At six acres, it is the second largest square in London (the largest is Lincoln’s Inn Fields in Holborn) and is maintained by the Royal Parks on behalf of the Grosvenor Estate.

Step 4: No 9 is the oldest house in the square. John Adams, then the First Minister to the British Court lived here from 1785.
Step 5: As you head back around the perimeter of the square you will see No 44, previously the Millenium Hotel.
Step 6: This was home to the Earl of Harrowby from 1804 to 1847.
