  Step 1: This circular walk starts at Hayes station in Kent. There’s a toilet here if you need it.

• Step 2: Turn left outside the station. Walk along the high street. Look out for the florists and bakers en route. Time to pick up a snack for the jaunt perhaps?

• Step 3: When safe to do so, cross over the road called Station Approach.

• Step 4: Just past the petrol station, take a sharp right.

• 

  Step 5: Continue walking up Pickhurst Lane.

• 

  Step 6: Cross over at the pedestrian crossing.
