London Loop Section 4

Walk preview

1. Step 1: This is a hilly walk by Loop standards. It is rewarding as it runs through a series of woods and also features some fine views. Waymarking is helpful and has recently been considerably improved. There are some gaps.

2. 

   Step 2: Turn right out of Hayes Station. Cross Bourne Way at the mini-roundabout and turn left. Cross Larkfield Close and go up Station Hill.

3. 

   Step 3: At the first junction, where Ridgeway is the road ahead, turn right still on Station Hill. Walk to the top of the hill.

4. 

   Step 4: Turn right at the top along Warren Road and continue past a barrier on a path. Pass a gate onto an unsurfaced street (Warren Wood Close).

5. 

   Step 5: Cross the end of Holland Way and keep in the same direction on a fenced footpath by a sports field. The path goes down, up and down.

6. 

   Step 6: At the end of the path, turn right down the Croydon Road.
