• 

  Step 1: Starting back where we left off at Vauxhall station and a short walk to the bridge and down the stairs on the south bank.

• 

  Step 2: Vauxhall Bridge from Effra island - name after the tributary which empties here and links to Hammersmith bridge via engineer Bazalgette

• 

  Step 3: The front of the south bank is now open between Vauxhall and Lambeth bridges. Walk past the MI6 building and the hotel and other offices.

• 

  Step 4: View back to Vauxhall Bridge, Effra Island and low tide river.

• 

  Step 5: View towards Westminster Palace and Lambeth Bridge. This is bridge number 18 so far. The first of several today.

• 

  Step 6: Closer to Lambeth Bridge and St Stephen’s Tower (Big Ben). On the river is a fire station boat with its own pier.
