  Step 1: Welcome to this walk around Oakwood Pond. The closest public transport is Hodings Road Cycle Path bus stop.

  Step 2: Turn left to join the footpath and continue through the trees.

• 

  Step 3: Take the path to the left. Don’t forget to look up and enjoy the views of the tree canopy.

• 

  Step 4: Oakwood Pond and the surrounding areas have a rich history, possibly dating back as far as the 1100’s.

• 

  Step 5: It was once a stew pond for Canons Brook monastery and in the 1700’s was part of the grounds of Upper House.

• 

  Step 6: Now take the path off to the left.
